The Canary Islands added 116 new cases of coronavirus this Thursday. The total of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 97,563 with 1,152 active, of which 16 are admitted to the ICU and 100 remain hospitalized. In the last hours, the death of an 84-year-old man in La Palma has been registered, who suffered from previous pathologies and remained in hospital.
The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 25.41 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 54.18 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife adds 47 cases with a total of 536 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 45 more than the previous day and 453 active. Lanzarote adds three new cases and 59 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has 15 new cases, and 66 active. La Palma adds six new positives, so it has 30 active, while El Hierro, without new cases, remains at two active. La Gomera, which also does not report new positives, so its assets are six.
Until this Thursday, a total of 2,266,928 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 5,076 correspond to Wednesday.
