Canary Islands adds 1,158 new cases of Covid and six deaths

Of the total number of deaths, four were reported in Gran Canaria and two in Tenerife. All had previous pathologies and were in hospital.

This Friday, the Canary Islands has a total of 1,158 new cases of coronavirus. In addition, in the last few hours, the death of six people between 45 and 93 years of age has been reported. Of the total number of deaths, four were reported in Gran Canaria and two in Tenerife. All had previous pathologies and were in hospital.

As of this Friday, a total of 3,207,729 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 6,629 correspond to Thursday.

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 246.88 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 524.55 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife has 478 cases with a total of 6,646 cases that are epidemiologically active; Gran Canaria has 470 more than the previous day, and 7,792 active cases. Lanzarote has 55 new cases with 341 epidemiologically active cases. Fuerteventura has 95 new cases and 1,341 active cases. La Palma has 50 new positives, bringing the total to 346 active cases. El Hierro has six new positives with 34 active cases and La Gomera has four new cases, bringing the total to 79 active cases.

The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 276,403, with 16,579 active cases, of which 55 are admitted to the ICU and 438 remain hospitalized.
