The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands provisionally reports this Tuesday 1,801 new cases of Covid coronavirus. The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 291,947 with 14,357 active, of which 43 are admitted to the ICU and 297 remain hospitalized. In the last hours, the death of three people has been reported, two in Tenerife and one in Gran Canaria, pending validation by the General Directorate of Public Health.

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 460.76 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 779.38 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife adds 798 cases with a total of 133,930 accumulated cases and 5,999 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 110,167 accumulated cases, 830 more than the previous day and 6,754 active. Lanzarote adds 70 new cases with 19,916 accumulated and 532 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has 14,625 accumulated cases, with 37 new cases and 591 active. La Palma adds 49 new positives, bringing the total to 9,758 accumulated and 354 active. La Gomera has nine new positives, bringing its accumulated total to 1,788 and has 105 active cases, and El Hierro adds eight new cases, bringing its total to 1,762 accumulated and its active cases are 22.

To date, a total of 3,264,148 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 6,080 correspond to the previous day.

The Ministry of Health reminds that these data published on the Grafcan portal are provisional and are pending validation by the Public Health teams. In this way, the dynamics of the Coordinating Center for Alerts and Emergencies is followed, which does not receive epidemiological information from the Autonomous Communities on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

 

Therefore, the data contained in this press release may vary once they have been epidemiologically reviewed and consolidated by the General Directorate of Public Health according to the established protocols, so discrepancies may arise in the coming days in the updating of the data contained in the Grafcan website.
