The first pregnant woman diagnosed with coronavirus (Covid-19) in the Canary Islands has given birth to her baby via cesarean section at the Materno Infantil Hospital in Gran Canaria.
The woman was admitted to the hospital located in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and has finally given birth to her baby by cesarean section, as confirmed by the Canary Islands Ministry of Health.
Currently in the Canary Islands, a total of 557 accumulated cases of coronavirus Covid-19 have been registered since the beginning of the crisis. Of the total cases, 207 people have had to be hospitalized, 36 of them in Intensive Care Units (ICU).
Likewise, the Canary Islands already has 17 deaths, 6 more than the last statistic, all of them people of older or advanced ages and/or with previous pathologies. The number of cures is 8.
