A reader has contacted La Voz to report that he has been waiting for more than six months for the Arrecife City Council to place the signs and paint a ford on Sabin Berthelot street, in the Argana Alta neighborhood.
"It seems like they are teasing me", denounced the reader, who maintains that during all this time he has called "every Monday" to inquire about the delay in the installation of the ford. In those calls, he has received several explanations from the City Council, such as that the technician in charge "was on sick leave", or that they were "working on it".
The latest version came last week, when the City Council informed him that the person in charge "no longer worked in the City Council", and that he would have to wait for them to access the job bank for the hiring of qualified personnel.
Meanwhile, the affected party reports that he has been paying "all the required amounts" during these six months, both the ford application, which he says is "more than two hundred euros", as well as the annual fee, which is an amount close to fifty euros. And another of the reader's criticisms is "the lack of information provided by the City Council". "They give you a piece of paper and you have to fend for yourself", he said, also pointing out that for months he thought he had submitted all the necessary documents for the installation, when he was still missing one and the City Council "had not told him anything".
The complainant points out that it is not an isolated case, since he assures that his neighbor has been waiting a similar time "for a disability ford". "It's all due to mismanagement", considers the affected party, who adds that while waiting for the Arrecife City Council to react, he cannot use his garage and is forced to leave his new vehicle on the street.
