The residents of the center of Arrecife are once again "outraged" by the organization of a concert last Saturday, November 25. According to the citizens, the youth councilor of Coalición Canaria, Rosmen Quevedo, organized an event that was only attended by "50 people", a concert with which they suffered "more than 85 decibels in our homes", one of the residents highlighted to La Voz.
With some irony, they suggest that for four and a half hours, "more than 1,000 residents of the Islas Canarias Park enjoyed the concert". One of the many that have been organized in the center of the capital, considering that there have already been "six in a short period of time", the man argued.
From the eleven neighborhood associations, they "do not understand the celebration of the event", which was hardly attended by anyone. They believe that there are "other alternatives" and that politicians, and in this case Coalición Canaria, "are there to improve the lives of the citizens of Arrecife, not to make it impossible for them", he made clear.
A noise that they recognize "affects people's health", specifically, the "suffering of more than 1,000 residents, just so that there are 50 people", he complains. In addition, he emphasizes all the work and money involved in organizing the event. "A cost of thousands of euros, the rental of sound equipment, a generator, two emergency ambulances, in addition to overtime for the Local Police of Arrecife and the city council staff."
Despite the continuous complaints from the residents of Arrecife, there will be another concert with a DJ on December 23, an event that the councilor has already "communicated to the residents", the man remarked.
