The residents of the center of Arrecife are still unable to "sleep or rest" at night. Last week we learned that it was the works being carried out in Coronel Bens street and surroundings, which were disturbing the sleep of citizens. Now, several residents have once again conveyed their complaints to La Voz about the concerts held this weekend in the Islas Canarias park.
"We have been unable to sleep all of October", they say. First it was the dance events two weekends ago, which ended at "half past one in the morning", then the concerts that took place this Friday and Saturday, lasting until "three in the morning", they add.
The citizens of the capital ask a direct question to the mayor: "How long are we going to be like this?". "We are more than 1,000 neighbors who are without rest", they criticize. "This is foolishness and torture", they repeat after last week's warning.In addition, they propose to the Council other alternatives to locate the party venues such as "La Marina and the Fairgrounds". They admit that they are still confused by the situation. "We do not understand them holding these events 20 meters from numerous buildings."
In addition, they warn that they will make major decisions if the situation does not cease: "either an urgent measure is taken, or we will sue the city council and the mayor", they have made clear.
