A citizen has contacted La Voz to express her dissatisfaction with the Local Police of Costa Teguise after spending since Monday trying to file a complaint without success. "Because you can only file complaints in the morning and it's impossible for me because I work," she criticizes.
As she explained to La Voz, this woman left her car parked on Monday in Costa Teguise and when she went to pick it up, she found that it had been hit by another vehicle without them even leaving a note. So, she decided to turn to the Local Police to report the incident. And, she says, the car was parked near a hotel that has video surveillance cameras, where they told her that she could have access to the images to see who hit her car, but only if she comes with a complaint filed with the Police.
"I could see who hit me, but I can't because they won't let me file the complaint," says this woman, who says she has called the police station several times and they only tell her that in order to file the complaint she has to go in the morning without giving her another solution." And I went to the Civil Guard, but they told me that it is the responsibility of the Local Police, that they would love to help me but they can't, and that they understand my discomfort," she adds.
"So, do I have to leave my job to be able to file the complaint?" questions this citizen, who does not understand "what kind of service they are providing" from the Local Police. "Do we pay taxes to be treated like this and not be able to file a simple complaint?" says this woman, who believes that the normal thing would be that complaints could be made at any time.
