A reader has reported that the center of Arrecife, near the Rambla Medular, was overwhelmed with the start of the sales this January 7th. As every year, at the end of the Christmas holidays, shops offer promotions on their products to clear out merchandise that was not sold during the celebrations.
According to this reader, the roads surrounding the Open Mall Shopping Center, in the center of Arrecife, have been congested by vehicle traffic. This situation has caused **major traffic jams** in the vicinity of said **shopping area** and has forced several Arrecife Local Police officers to move to the areaAround 12:15 PM this Wednesday, the streets surrounding this space became saturated, from the height of the Insular Library.
To resolve the situation, a pair of Local Police officers have been controlling traffic at one of the roundabouts, while another pair have been guiding vehicles exiting the underground parking lot of this shopping center.
