The Cabildo of Lanzarote has decided to suspend the XXVIII Travesía a Nado El Río, a sporting event that unites the islands of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, due to the weather alert for coastal phenomena.
The State Meteorological Agency decreed this Thursday morning the yellow warning for adverse coastal phenomena from Friday night to Saturday noon.
The Cabildo had presented this Wednesday the edition that was going to be held this Saturday, which was going to have 496 swimmers from eight different countries. Unfortunately, we will have to wait until 2024 for a new edition of this traditional sporting event that unites the islands of Lanzarote and La Graciosa to be held.
