Last Saturday, Unión Sur Yaiza made up for the match they had pending against Las Palmas Atlético. A match in which the team coached by Adolfo Pérez, who had several absentees, showed a better image than in previous matches but ended with a new defeat by 1 goal to 2. The yellow subsidiary, like UD Tamaraceite the previous weekend, managed to add their first away victory at the Municipal de Yaiza.

On the Yaiza side, Roy was one of the most active players, starring in several quite dangerous attacking actions. On the first occasion, a very distant shot from the left-footed player ended with a great intervention from Moha Ramos to send the ball to a corner kick and, almost immediately afterwards, a personal play by the skillful attacker ended with a soft shot into the hands of the yellow goalkeeper. Despite these two opportunities, it was the yellow subsidiary who struck first after taking advantage of an error by the local defense, with Ale Ojeda being in charge of establishing the 0-1 in the 25th minute.

The break came with the southern team pouring into attack, the yellows knew how to remain forceful and resist Yaiza's onslaught. Upon returning from the dressing room, the greens continued to try but could not hit the target. As in the first act, Yaiza tried but it was Las Palmas Atlético who struck. On this occasion, Diego Gutiérrez scored the 0-2 after beating Floro.

However, Yaiza did not give up and managed to add a bit of excitement at the end with Jony's goal after a cross from Ubay which meant 1-2. Adolfo Pérez's players tried, but failed to scratch at least one point.

For Adolfo Pérez, it has been “a match very similar to last week's against Tamaraceite but with an even better impression because in the only mistake, in their only shot on goal they make it zero to one. In the second half the team was even better than in the first, they tried, they had chances to tie but in a counterattack they make it zero to two. We managed to shorten the distance but then the opponent makes six changes, we make two changes, and the Yaiza players gave everything and ran until their legs gave out, we couldn't cope with the refreshment they provided in the second half. We couldn't match that refreshment. We have left empty again but the team today, the truth, deserved more than having lost. Football is not being fair with the effort and Yaiza has to keep rowing”, concludes Pérez.

With this new defeat, Adolfo Pérez's team remains second to last with four points, above Marino, who has the same points but one game less. Yaiza visits Estrella next Saturday in Las Palmitas. A match of capital importance for the southerners as both teams are in the lower part of the table.
