Unión Sur Yaiza repeats opponent and sensations. If in the first round the southern team improved performance against Las Palmas Atlético (1-2) and lost by the minimum in the Municipal of Yaiza, what happened this Sunday in the Annex to the Gran Canaria stadium has had the same seams. The verdinegro team continues to improve but has lost again (2-0).
The defeat of the southern team in a match corresponding to matchday 18 of Group 12 of the Third Division RFEF places the Las Palmas subsidiary in the promotion playoff zone and the squad led by Carlos Ramírez continues to leave it in the relegation zone with 15 points but only one away from the salvation zone.
The Gran Canaria subsidiary of Yoni Oujo won this Sunday, it is their fourth consecutive victory, with goals from Pau Ferrer in the first half and Ale García in extra time with the southerners overturned looking for the consolation point that finally did not arrive.
Despite the appearances of the result, Unión Sur Yaiza did not make it easy for the yellows. In the first half the locals arrived with several dangerous balls to the area defended by Floro through Pau Ferrer, Saliou, Yadam and Samu Ramos.
In the 26th minute of the game came the yellow goal after a fast attack that Pau Ferrer closed with an accurate shot after a pass from Saliou Mandiang.
Far from collapsing, the greens resurfaced with force after the goal and were about to score on two occasions, the first after a pass from Roy that Acorán finished without luck. Minutes later Álex Yunes tested the local goalkeeper, Moha Ramos, with a hard shot. With the score at a disadvantage, Yaiza reached halftime.
At the beginning of the second half, the opportunities for the yellow subsidiary returned. Neither Samuel Ramos nor Saliou were lucky against Floro, which still left the game open.
Yaiza tried without luck until the end but already in extra time, Las Palmas Atlético got the goal of tranquility in the 94th minute through Ale García. Too much punishment for a Yaiza that deserved more.
For the southern coach, Carlos Ramírez, “it has been a match in which we were quite good, the best chances of the match, three or four, we had them, and on one occasion that they arrive they put it in and in the end you go to halftime losing one-zero. In the second half we went out with the same intensity and with the same desire, we had a lot of possession of the ball. It is true that they, with the result in favor, had some other occasion but we also did. I think that the final result of two-zero is unfair, the fairest thing would have been a draw or a victory for us because we had the clearest chances without detracting from Las Palmas B because they have a good team, young people and a very good team but, in this match, we were quite good. I am leaving with the discomfort of not having been able to score here in Gran Canaria but we have to keep working”, concludes Carlos Ramírez.
