Unión Sur Yaiza and UD Vecindario failed to break the tie in the match played on Saturday afternoon at the Municipal Stadium of Yaiza. It wasn't a match with too many dangerous chances, with the home team deserving more to take the three points, but they weren't accurate in the final meters. UD Vecindario barely troubled the goal defended by Doramas and, for a team aspiring to fight for the promotion playoff, they disappointed with their performance on the field.

The first minutes were the typical ones of feeling each other out. Two teams studying each other on the field, more afraid of making mistakes than trying to attack. As the minutes went by, Unión Sur Yaiza took control of the game and approached the goal defended by Ione with more danger.

The first warning came from Unión Sur Yaiza in the 13th minute. A corner kick taken by Vladimir was headed by Ubay at the near post, and a defender cleared the ball off the line. Unión Sur Yaiza's biggest threat came from set-piece actions, as they were unable to circulate the ball well enough to reach the vicinity of the area in elaborate plays.

Around the half-hour mark, Vecindario approached the goal defended by Doramas with danger. A good pass from Ruymán to the far post was not taken advantage of by Maikel. The Gran Canaria player, in an optimal position, shot poorly and the ball didn't find the net. Vecindario was becoming more and more comfortable on the field. The first half of the match would end with a goalless draw.

The match had greater intensity in the second half. Unión Sur Yaiza injected speed into their game and eagerly sought the opponent's goal. For their part, Vecindario tried to exploit the speed of their wingers, and with the entry of Ángel Sánchez onto the field, they had more presence.

Unión Sur Yaiza had two good chances to take the lead. In the 64th minute, another corner kick from Vladimir, a header from Aridane, and the ball went just wide of one of the posts. Just five minutes later, Aridane stole a ball from Cristian in the center of the field, dribbled to the edge of the area, passed to Antonio Yeray, and his shot went just wide.

Unión Sur Yaiza was not having luck in front of goal, and chances kept coming at Ione's goal. Vecindario, on the other hand, failed to create any dangerous chances and barely troubled Doramas in the second half of the match.

The match would end in a goalless draw. A point that Unión Sur Yaiza finds insufficient, having deserved a better result. Vecindario disappointed and is increasingly distant from the possibility of playing in the promotion playoff at the end of the current season. Unión Sur Yaiza's next match will be against UD Lanzarote, in the local derby of the Third Division.
