Unión Sur Yaiza and UD Vecindario failed to break the tie in the match played on Saturday afternoon at the Municipal Stadium of Yaiza. It wasn't a match with too many dangerous chances, with the home team deserving more to take the three points, but they weren't accurate in the final meters. UD Vecindario barely troubled the goal defended by Doramas and, for a team aspiring to fight for the promotion playoff, they disappointed with their performance on the field.
The first minutes were the typical ones of feeling each other out. Two teams studying each other on the field, more afraid of making mistakes than trying to attack. As the minutes went by, Unión Sur Yaiza took control of the game and approached the goal defended by Ione with more danger.
The first warning came from Unión Sur Yaiza in the 13th minute. A corner kick taken by Vladimir was headed by Ubay at the near post, and a defender cleared the ball off the line. Unión Sur Yaiza's biggest threat came from set-piece actions, as they were unable to circulate the ball well enough to reach the vicinity of the area in elaborate plays.
Around the half-hour mark, Vecindario approached the goal defended by Doramas with danger. A good pass from Ruymán to the far post was not taken advantage of by Maikel. Vecindario disappointed and is increasingly distant from the possibility of playing in the promotion playoff at the end of the current season.
