UD Lanzarote will not be able to play next Sunday's match against CD Tenerife “B”, a match corresponding to the 25th matchday of group XII of the Third Division RFEF, which has been postponed by the Single Competition Judge of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF). The squad of the rojillo team has been affected by several positive cases of Covid, this being the main reason for the postponement.
In compliance with the RFEF's health protocol, the members of the UD Lanzarote squad underwent antigen tests and several of them tested positive for covid19. The affected people are currently in good health, with mild symptoms of the disease and isolated as established by the protocol.
UD Lanzarote sent the information to the medical services of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, and at the same time requested the postponement of next Sunday's match due to not having enough troops. On the afternoon of this Friday, the Single Competition Judge has confirmed the postponement of the match against CD Tenerife “B”, scheduled for 12:00 noon at the Ciudad Deportiva Lanzarote.
It is the second postponed match that UD Lanzarote has suffered this season. Last January 9, they could not play the match against Unión Puerto for the same reason and now the duel against the CD Tenerife “B” subsidiary has been postponed. The teams involved must look for new dates for the celebration of both matches.
