UD Lanzarote hosted Atlético Paso on Wednesday night, in a match that closed the seventh round of Group XII of the Third Division RFEF. The two teams played a match of power to power, proving to be two serious candidates to be in the top of the standings. The match was marked by the refereeing controversy, with the referee disallowing a goal to UD Lanzarote in the 77th minute.

The match began with the dominance of UD Lanzarote, generating several dangerous chances from set pieces. Atlético Paso shook off the local dominance and approached the local area with danger. A shot by Agoney and a shot by Brian Martín were repelled by goalkeeper Ruyman with two good interventions.

The best chance for Atlético Paso came in the 32nd minute, when Canevali headed a corner kick at the near post and the ball crashed into the top of the crossbar. UD Lanzarote's response came in the 43rd minute, with a shot by Leo from inside the area that hit the crossbar first and then the post.

UD Lanzarote took control in the second half and sought to generate danger, especially down the wings. In the 55th minute, Alyson went down the right wing, shot with his left foot and was met by goalkeeper Luis Arellano's glove to send the ball out for a corner.

In the 77th minute, a goal was disallowed for UD Lanzarote, after Rubo picked up a ball inside the area and beat the goalkeeper. After several minutes of protests from the visiting players, the referee did not validate the goal due to Rubo's offside, to the disbelief of the fans who were in the stands.

UD Lanzarote continued to try in the final minutes, with Juanito having a chance to head in a cross from Ayoze Pérez from the right wing, but the striker's shot went high. There was no time for more and with the goalless draw the match came to an end, with the rojillo team adding a point to remain in second place in the standings.
