Club La Santa Tizziri Tinajo has achieved a new victory this Wednesday at the CEIP in Playa Honda against GRU Lanzarote (41-66) in the twelfth day of the LIIC Senior Men's League.
With the victory in San Bartolomé, the Tinajo team is even more of a leader with nine wins and two losses in eleven games played. They are followed in the standings by a trio composed of Costa Teguise, Maramajo and Conejeros, all of them with some fewer games played than Tizziri but with worse numbers for the moment. GRU continues to close the standings, still not knowing the taste of victory after ten games played.
Despite the differences in the standings, the game started more even than expected. It was not until the second quarter that the leaders managed to gain some advantage on the scoreboard to reach halftime with a six-point lead.
In the second half, the locals tried but Tinajo asserted its inertia. In the last quarter everything was already decided. In the end, victory in all partials for a Tinajo that goes straight and with few doubts towards the postseason competition.
New solvent victory for the Tinajo team in which Hugo Hermosilla was once again the top scorer for his team and the game with 20 points. In the ranks of GRU, Francisco Javier Fuentes scored 16 points for those from Playa Honda.
While GRU Lanzarote visits the Muka Muka court on matchday thirteen, the Tinajo team receives the visit of CAF Fuerteventura. It will be at the Municipal de Tinajo, on March 17 from 12:00 hours.
