The only CD Tenerife campus in Lanzarote will take place in Puerto del Carmen. The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, the president of Club Deportivo Tenerife, Paulino Rivero, the coordinator of Campus Suma 2023, Samanta Tormo, and the player Sara Niz, presented yesterday the XVII Campus Suma of the Canarian Foundation of CD Tenerife, which will take place at the Manuel Arrocha García football field from July 3 to 8.
The event will also take place in different parts of Tenerife, El Hierro and La Palma. The training is aimed at boys and girls with ages between 5 and 14 years old and interested families can check places and rates on the phone 922 298100 or by email campus@clubdeportivotenerife.es
José Juan Cruz thanked the municipality of Tías for being chosen to host "a campus as relevant as this, fundamentally for the combination of sports work with the transmission of values of solidarity and collaboration." Cruz Saavedra wished success to both the participants and the organizing foundation.
Paulino Rivero highlighted the need to "reinforce those values that are so necessary in our society." Rivero referred to the awareness project towards people with disabilities that the CD Tenerife Foundation develops with the involvement of the EDI, Intellectual Disability and Cerebral Palsy Team.
Sara Niz highlighted the playful aspect of the training and stated that, "for a week, from Monday to Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the participants will be surrounded by the club's technical staff, with professional training, with whom they will grow sportingly and learn a lot."
Samanta Tormo encouraged families to register for the campus, whose main objective is to "improve the physical and technical conditions of football, on an individual and group level, prior to the competition period, where they want to promote the development of talent in boys and girls in a natural way in a playful way, bringing through our activities values, such as discipline, respect, teamwork, cooperation and solidarity."
