A driver was injured this Thursday after the van he was traveling in overturned on the LZ-67 road, at kilometer point 11, in the municipality of Tinajo. The accident occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. and mobilized personnel from the Security Consortium, two ambulances from the Canary Emergency Service, as well as the Civil Guard and personnel from the Timanfaya National Park.

According to the Consortium, the vehicle was overturned on the roof and the driver remained inside, suspended by the seat belt. The firefighters placed a neck brace on him, performed an initial assessment and, with the help of a spinal board, managed to free him and extract him from the van.

Subsequently, the injured man was transferred by ambulance to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital for medical attention.

During the intervention, National Park personnel were initially in charge of directing traffic until the arrival of the Civil Guard, who assumed control of the circulation and prepared the corresponding report.
