The youth wrestler from the Guadarfía Wrestling Club of Lanzarote, Haridian González, has managed to enter the High Performance Center of Madrid for Olympic Wrestling (CAR) at the age of 19, a real honor for the club and for the sport in general of the Island.
The spectacular personal results of this year have led the Spanish Wrestling Federation to count on her for this season, as she has finished as champion of the Canary Islands and third in Spain in less than 72 kilos, and has also led her club to fourth position in the junior team ranking.
Haridian joins the training discipline of the CAR this Monday, October 20, where she will train with a dozen wrestlers for a year, competing nationally and internationally in those tournaments to which the Spanish Wrestling Federation goes. "This is proof that training with sacrifice and seriousness leads to success", comment from the Conejera club.
"For the Guadarfía Wrestling Club it is an immense emotion that one of its wrestlers is a CAR athlete, thus taking the name of the club and the wrestling of Lanzarote to ceilings that were unthinkable a few years ago", they point out from the wrestling club, where they also highlight that "this 2008 has been a year full of successes for this club of recent history and very little budget, which is already 4th in Spain in junior clubs, 13th in senior clubs and has managed to win three national bronzes in the junior category, as well as a silver and a bronze in senior", they point out. Now, it is the turn of the highest national and international competition.
