This morning, the fifth edition of the Rallye Iles du Soleil, organized by the Grand Pavois Organization in collaboration with Calero Marinas, was presented in the B30 Space of Marina Lanzarote.

This regatta, which will depart next October 27, at 11 in the morning, from Marina Lanzarote, will have the participation of 18 boats, mainly of French nationality and will unite the islands of Lanzarote, Mindelo and Guadalupe.

This is a regatta where, above all, the social aspect and the community prevail, beyond competitiveness, it values ​​making community among the fleet, enjoying a safe journey and learning about the culture, gastronomy and history of the destinations they visit.

The presentation ceremony was attended by José Calero, president of Calero Marinas, who explained the importance of an organization such as Grand Pavois choosing the group's marinas and the Canary Islands for the celebration of an event of these characteristics, "it is an honor to receive the Rallye Iles du Soleil and attend to these sailors so that they feel at home, it will always be one of the main values ​​of Calero Marinas".

For his part, the president of the Grand Pavois Organization, Alain Pochon, stressed that the organization was looking for an event where sailors with less experience, even families with children, had guarantees of a safe Atlantic crossing and where community and sustainability values ​​are also rewarded.

In this sense, Héctor Fernández, CEO of SPEL, showed the commitment of the entity he represents to nautical events of this level that qualify the destination and highlight values ​​such as sustainability and safety, fully aligned with the promotion strategy of Turismo Lanzarote.

For his part, the mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, stressed the links between Arrecife and the French community and the importance, for Arrecife, of nautical events as a link to promote the city, with the heritage value of the city's maria and the modern infrastructures offered by Marina Lanzarote.

The order of intervention was closed by Jacobo Medina, vice president of the Cabildo, adding the importance of public-private collaboration for the promotion of the island and the safe bet of Arrecife as a nautical destination.
