The Canary Islands Beach Soccer Championship has become a traditional event every summer, and the island of Lanzarote is one of the usual stops on the regional competition. El Reducto beach hosts this weekend the seventeenth edition of the Canary Islands Championship. The third round of the Canarian circuit, which started a few weeks ago on Jandía beach in Fuerteventura, will be held on the sand of the Arrecife beach.
Registration opened last Monday to take part in the third round of the XVII Canary Islands Beach Soccer Championship. As usual every year, it is having a great acceptance among the people of Lanzarote, and on Wednesday there were already 25 teams that had confirmed their participation. Registrations can be made through the website www.jaborpi.com and will close when the quota of 32 teams is reached.
To date, two rounds of the Canary Islands Championship have been held. The first one was on Jandía beach in Fuerteventura, where the Gran Canaria team Nuevo Club took the victory. The second stop was on Melenara beach in Gran Canaria, where Steaua de Tirajana was proclaimed the winner.
The competition on El Reducto beach will start at noon on Friday, with the dispute of the first preliminary rounds. The arrival of the Canary Islands Championship to Lanzarote is thanks to the collaboration of Coca-Cola and Jaborpi SL.
