On Saturday morning, FC Puerto del Carmen visited CD Peña de la Amistad, a match that pitted two teams fighting this season to achieve permanence in the Women's First National Division. The Majoreras were more successful, achieving a three-goal advantage in the first half and increasing the difference at the start of the second half. The Tiñoseras in the final minutes made up the result with two goals.
The match started cold for FC Puerto del Carmen and the Tiñoseras players ended up suffering. CD Peña de la Amistad only needed two minutes to take the lead, the result of a quick counterattack that allowed Yisely to enter on the right side, stand inside the area and beat Amelia low.
The reaction of FC Puerto del Carmen was immediate and they took control of the game against a rival that was waiting in their area to counterattack. In the 15th minute, Janet had a double chance. In the first, she shot low from the front and found the hand of goalkeeper Iria to send the ball to a corner kick. In the subsequent corner, executed by Janet, Iria again prevented the ball from entering her goal.
CD Peña de la Amistad increased the differences on the scoreboard in the middle of the first half. Sandra took advantage of an error by the visiting defense as a result of a corner kick, controlled the ball in the vicinity of the area and with a powerful shot sent the ball next to the crossbar.
Things got even more complicated for the Tiñoseras before the break. Yisely picked up a ball inside the area, passed to her teammate Sandra and she with her toe beat Amelia low. With the score at 3-0, the first 45 minutes of the match came to an end.
Peña de la Amistad sealed the match at the start of the second half. Sandra recovered a ball on the left wing, crossed for the arrival of Yisely and did not forgive to beat the goal defended by Naza in this second half.
With four goals against, FC Puerto del Carmen continued working thinking about the upcoming league commitments and the Tiñoseras were able to make up the final result. They reduced the difference in the 74th minute through Kiara, a player who entered the area on the left side and went over Iria.
And in the final minutes of the match, the second goal for the Lanzarote team would arrive. In a set piece action, with a free kick from the right side, the ball was loose inside the area and Daniela was the last to finish to beat the goalkeeper.
4-2 defeat for FC Puerto del Carmen against CD Peña de la Amistad, a result that leaves the Tiñosero team in ninth place in the standings with 22 points. Next Saturday they will receive the visit of CD Achaman, a match that is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at the Municipal Stadium of Puerto del Carmen.
