J. Lasso C. - Puerto Calero
The presentation ceremony began shortly after eight o'clock in the Plaza de las Carpas, located in front of the Puerto Calero offices. It was the moment awaited by those attending the venue. The starting signal of the event. Its top managers, as well as authorities and people related to its sponsors welcomed the attendees.
One of the most emotional moments was the words of Mr. José Calero, thanking all the sailors who this year opted for Puerto Calero to close the national high-level cruise championship. Calero, like every year, pledged to incorporate new features in the next edition, including the more numerous participation of the TP52 class, which is undoubtedly the great attraction of this 5th edition.
Also very exciting were the words of Ignacio Triay, director of the Med Cup, who commented on the opportunity to deepen relations between the TP 52s and this important Lanzarote marina.
The opening words preceded the most emotional moment of the evening. A concert by the emblematic Canarian folklore group Los Sabandeños, who went through different themes from their extensive repertoire. The attendees applauded for several minutes their performance and congratulated the organizers for such a high-level start.
After the musical show, the sailors enjoyed a catering offered by the Amura restaurant and exchanged the first impressions of this event that is presented as one of the great references of Canarian, national and international sailing. Because we must emphasize that this year they have the presence of crews from Norway, Italy, Portugal, Austria, in addition to the Spanish ones.
