The Poliarrecife Karate Club wins two medals in the National Karate League, 2021. the first of the youngest categories (Benjamin to Youth), which was held in Pontevedra on June 5 and 6. 

The Lanzarote club traveled with five of its youth category athletes (11 and 12 years old), in the kumite modality. Three girls and two boys, as well as two club coaches, María Rosa Pascual and Jaime Abdul. Both entity technicians are national karate coaches and coaches accredited by the RFEK.

Adriana Miranda, in the female youth category -42 kg, even after a good fight, fell in the first round and without the possibility of repechage. Jimena Padilla, in female youth -52 kg, after winning her first elimination fight, fell in the second round and could not be repesed either. Alejandro García, who was registered in the male youth -48kg, was finally unable to go to the tatami due to a previous injury that had not recovered sufficiently.

On the other hand, Mikel González, in male youth -42 kg, after being defeated in the first round by who would eventually be the champion of the category, made a brilliant series of repechage, winning his four matches, which earned him the bronze medal.

Finally, Amelie Yaiza Skiba, in the female youth category -42 kg, made an impeccable series of four consecutive victories until she reached the final, where she could not overcome her opponent, so she finished the competition obtaining the runner-up.
