Spectacular end to the season for Miguel Ángel Morales Hernández and Alejandro Martín Corujo, sailors from the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife, who arrived at the World Championship after having been proclaimed European champions 19 days ago in Poland.

This Saturday, they have just been proclaimed world runners-up in Alicante, in a final regatta in which they perfectly maintained their distance from their immediate pursuers. They gave up a point to the sailors from Gran Canaria, Jaime Ayarza and Mariano Hernández, leaving them in fourth place, 16 points behind. They did the same with the Greeks Dimitros Sourlatzis and Nikolaos Sourlatzis, who finished third, surpassing them by two positions.

Miguel Ángel and Alejandro had a final regatta from less to more and without losing sight of their main rivals in the fight for silver. They finished in 8th place, which guaranteed them the
second place.
