Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen has achieved a new victory this Saturday at the Municipal Pavilion of Boadilla del Monte (Madrid) in their visit to Balonmano Ikasa Boadilla (24-28) in a match corresponding to the twenty-third day of the Women's Honor Gold Division.

With three games left and safety already secured, Juanmi Pérez's team remains, after this new victory, in tenth position in the standings with nineteen points. Boadilla is seventh in the Women's Honor Gold Division with twenty-seven points in their locker.

The top scorer of the match and of the Tiñosa team was Fernanda Luján Insfrán with ten goals. In the Madrid ranks, two players stood out with five goals, the former aurinegra Caty Benedetti and Carla Montero.

For the Tiñosero coach, Juanmi Pérez, they played “a match that lasted a long time with the things that were happening. We played a fairly serious match against an Ikasa team that is very good. An even match throughout the first half, with hardly a difference of one or two goals. At the end of the first half, Yuli, our pivot, falls to the ground in the last situation. And that's where the match stops. It is stopped for at least fifty minutes or more due to the protocol issue, waiting for assistance and so on. After so much time stopped, we entered the second half very cold, with few players, and Ikasa goes ahead on the scoreboard by about four goals.

We tried to turn the game around and, in the end, we succeeded. Congratulations to the team for the work they did in this match after a somewhat killer trip and what happened during it. The truth is that it is a victory of great merit. These two points help us face the three games we have left with a good perspective,” concluded the Tiñosero coach.

Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen returns to competition on May 10, at 12:00, against Agrinova Costa de Almería Roquetas, a team that this week has fallen defeated (22-29) in the visit of the new Liga Guerreras Iberdrola team, Zonzamas Plus Car Lanzarote.
