LandBit Lanzarote adds a new victory in the Men's First National League

The competition continues in group A of the Men's First National League, and LandBit Lanzarote San José Obrero faced a new match of the regular phase of the national category on Saturday afternoon. The players of San José Obrero worked on different tactical aspects facing the promotion phase that they will play at the end of May and adding a new victory, this time against Saeplast Balonmano Cañiza.

In the first minutes of the match, both teams worked to adjust their game system on the 40x20. LandBit Lanzarote San José Obrero played with Joel Peraza and Pedro Cabrera in the pivot, with Iñaki Malumbres having a double pivot that will help them when they find very closed defenses. In defense, the Lanzarote team continued with its usual 6:0.

The defensive intensity of the locals allowed them to steal several balls, mounting quick counterattacks to open the gap in the score. Carmelo Álvarez was in charge of culminating one of the quick plays and establishing the 8 to 5. Before the halfway point of the first half, the goals of Mikita Liavonau and Ángel Iglesias established the difference in the five goals (11-6).

Until the end of the first part, Saeplast Balonmano Cañiza worked to not leave the match and prevent the host team from sentencing the match quickly. In San José Obrero the rotations on the bench were usual, highlighting the debut of the Argentine goalkeeper Juani Villarreal and who had an outstanding performance in this match. With the score of 19 to 14, the break was reached.

Saeplast Cañiza was not going to make things easy in the second part of the match, even the coach of LandBit Lanzarote requested a time out when he saw that the rival reduced the advantage to four goals (22-18). A difference that was only one goal with eight minutes left for the end of the match, after Martín Rial culminated a counterattack (25-24).

The reaction of LandBit Lanzarote was immediate, and the goals of Nacho López and Alexis Rodríguez served to put land in between again and provoke the time out of the coach of Balonmano Cañiza. Until the end of the match the locals controlled the game and ended up winning by 30 to 26.

Next Saturday LandBit Lanzarote will face its last trip of the season to Galicia, and will visit Calvo Xiria, a team that is in a good dynamic of results with four consecutive victories.
