The experienced pilot from Conejero, José Manuel Galán, will participate in the third and fourth round of the Spanish Gravel Rally Championship, events that will be held this weekend on the island of Lanzarote. Aridane Robayna will accompany Galán in the co-pilot duties.

José Manuel Galán will compete in the national event within the Canary Islands Gravel Rally Championship. He is accompanied as a co-pilot by Aridane Robayna Machín, a pilot with little experience in co-piloting duties. They will be racing at the controls of a Nissan Patrol GR 4.8, a vehicle that has already been used in the Lisbon Dakar, in the Baja España Aragón 2008 and a few weeks ago in the Baja Fuerteventura, in which they obtained excellent results.

The Conejero team will be the only one participating with an all-terrain vehicle, wearing the number 210 of group 8. The objective is to put on a show and try to finish the demanding double event of the weekend.

Unlike the previous year, in which he also took part in the Spanish Gravel Rally Championship, Galán will not have Jesús Machín as a co-pilot. Machín will be present at the event as a zero car with a Mitsubishi Evo.

The Isla de Los Volcanes Gravel Rally will take place on both Saturday and Sunday, with the rally having 265.73 kilometers, of which 75.46 kilometers will be timed and the rest will be liaison. A rally that will have its headquarters in the municipality of Yaiza, where the show stage of each day and the assistance area will be held.

The participation of José Manuel Galán and Aridane Robayna in the Spanish Gravel Rally Championship is thanks to the full support of Nissan Macher Motor, the collaboration of the Tourism Council of the Government of the Canary Islands and DeporteCanario.com.
