Transcendental match played on Sunday morning between U.D. Lanzarote and Villa de Santa Brígida, fifth and fourth classified respectively.
The match started, with a lot of play in the center of the field and respect between both contenders.
The opportunities were scarce during the first 45 minutes. Álex Cruz tried it for the local team in the 25th minute of the match and, after a good control, entered the area, but his subsequent shot went wide.
Padilla tried it for the visiting team in the 36th minute of the match, after a good combination of Villa that concluded with a shot that went wide from a pass from Pablo Álvarez. The score was tied at zero at halftime.
The second half began with a U.D. Lanzarote that was looking for the goal with greater insistence and intensity. Thus, when the 53rd minute of the match was running, Nico González took advantage of a ball inside the area after an action down the right wing by Rosmen. His shot was the first and only goal of the match.
After the goal, Villa de Santa Brígida tried to stretch its lines without much success, as U.D. Lanzarote was solid and strong in defense in a match in which the Argentine defender Luciano Pierce made his debut in the rojillo team.
The local team could have increased the score after a shot from inside the area by Ayoze that was rejected by the visiting goalkeeper Ione in a good intervention.
With the score of 1 to 0, the 90 minutes would come to an end.
