We will have to use a calculator to resolve what may happen on the last day of the Regional Preferente de Las Palmas. At the moment, UD Guía, Unión Sur Yaiza, and Estrella CF are tied at 61 points, and if all three teams win on the last day, this equality would be maintained.

Chapter VII of the General Sports Regulations of the Canary Islands Football Federation includes the assumptions that may occur in the event of ties in points at the end of a competition. Article 147.3 explains how a tie between more than two clubs would be resolved, a situation that is currently registered in the Regional Preferente de Las Palmas

In section a) it explains that "by the best score that corresponds to each one according to the results obtained between them, as if the others had not participated." That is, a mini-league would have to be made between Guía, Unión Sur Yaiza, and Estrella, in which only the results that have occurred in the direct confrontations between both teams would be taken into account.

In the particular mini-league between the three teams, UD Guía has obtained 8 points, Estrella 4 points, and Unión Sur Yaiza only 2 points. Guía would be the one holding the leadership of the Regional Preferente de Las Palmas.

Article 147 of the General Sports Regulations of the Canary Islands Football Federation also establishes the following: "The rules established in the previous paragraph will be applied in order and with an exclusive nature, in such a way that if one of them resolves the tie in any of the clubs involved, this will be excluded, applying to the others those that correspond, according to whether their number is two or more."

In the case of the Preferente, when the triple tie is resolved, Guía would be excluded when resolving the tie in points between Unión Sur Yaiza and Estrella CF. In this case, we would have to look at the direct confrontation between both teams throughout the season, having the particular goal average equal, when tying in the first leg match and in the second leg. Therefore, we would have to look at the goal difference for and against, where Yaiza would be victorious with a difference of +26 for a difference of +23 that Estrella has.

If the season in the Regional Preferente de Las Palmas concluded at this moment, Guía would occupy the first place in the classification and would mathematically ascend to the Third Division. For its part, the second place would be for Unión Sur Yaiza and would have to play a double-legged tie against the second classified of the Regional Preferente de Tenerife, with San Isidro being their rival. And Estrella would be left without options to fight for promotion.

Article 147 of the General Sports Regulations of the Canary Islands Football Federation includes the following terms:

Article 147.- 1. In competitions that are developed by the points system, the final classification will be established according to those obtained by each of the contending clubs, at a rate of three per game won, one per game tied, and zero per game lost.

2. If at the end of the championship there is a tie between two clubs, it will be resolved by the greatest difference of goals in favor, added the pro and against according to the result of the two matches played between them; if this is not elucidated, it will also be decided by the greatest difference of goals in favor, but taking into account all those obtained and received during the competition; if the difference is identical, the champion will be the one who has scored the most goals.

3. If the tie is between more than two clubs, it will be resolved:

a) By the best score that corresponds to each one according to the results obtained between them, as if the others had not participated.

b) By the greatest difference of goals for and against, considering only the matches played between themselves by the tied clubs.

c) By the greatest difference of goals obtained and received, taking into account all the matches of the championship; and being that identical, in favor of the club that has scored the most.

The rules established in the previous paragraph will be applied in order and with an exclusive nature, in such a way that if one of them resolves the tie of any of the clubs involved, this will be excluded, applying to the others those that correspond, according to whether their number is two or more.
