FC Puerto del Carmen received the visit of CD Tarsa from La Palma in a clash that was repeated from the one played in Breña Alta last week, so the two teams were very up-to-date on the rival's knowledge and it was sensed that it was going to be a very close match.
However, the locals did not leave options to their opponents and from the first minute they went for Yosy's goal, who was trying to get the ball out of his vicinity with quite a few problems. The first local goal came after 9 minutes when, in the pressure, Puerto del Carmen stole the ball inside the area after a goal kick, with Nieves scoring the first for his team.
Shortly after, the second goal would arrive for the locals when, after several cuts on the edge of the area, Kiara managed to join a placed shot that was lodged inside the palm tree goal.
After the second goal, the visiting bench adjusted the lines, changed pieces of position and the team shook off the dominance, managing to play somewhat closer to Mili's goal, who had little work, but this was resolved satisfactorily.
Concluding the first half, CD Tarsa was able to cut the difference when a foul launched by Ilenia was finished off at the far post, free of marking, by Mariló, without finding the three sticks. With the 2-0 the teams went to the locker room.
After returning to the court, the match continued with the equality that the first half had left us, with a visiting team that tried to test the local goal and these going on the counterattack, without managing to put the visiting goal in trouble either.
At 67 minutes Janet got a precise shot from outside the area, but the ball crashed into Yosy's goal. A minute later, the visitors responded to the exit of a corner kick with another post, in this case by Dayi. There would be a third post more, almost immediately, with a shot from Marisol from the front of the area, which also went to the crossbar.
The chances were few, although the approaches were continuous, but without problems for the goals, which breathed when the ball left their domains and went to the center of the field. In the last moments, FC Puerto del Carmen could have achieved the third, but they did not manage to change the score, despite attempts to beat Claudia, who had been placed in goal replacing her teammate.
With the result of 2 to 0, the tiñoseras are very close to achieving the goal of permanence, when there are still seven games left to finish the competition. Next week they hope to take another step, visiting CD Peña de la Amistad, from the island of Fuerteventura, and who they already won in the first leg by 6 to 4.
