On Saturday afternoon, CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife played a fairly serious match against Handbol Sant Quirze, not trusting at any time the qualifying situation of the Catalan team, the last classified in the category. From the beginning of the match, the players led by David Betancort were intense in defense and attack, and as the minutes passed, they opened the gap in the score to conquer the two points that were at stake.

The Lanzarote team started the match with enough intensity on the court, trying to take control of the game and not allow the opponent to be comfortable on the 40x20. The 6:0 defense of CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife was very serious, not allowing Handbol Sant Quirze to make comfortable shots.

After the halfway point of the first half, Miriam Páez scored her third seven-meter shot and Leticia Cobo from the pivot beat the visiting goalkeeper, establishing the 11-5 on the scoreboard. The coach of Sant Quirze had to request the first timeout, seeing how little by little the locals were increasing the income on the scoreboard.

After the instructions from the bench, Mizuki Hosoe stole a ball and culminated the quick counterattack to increase the difference to seven goals. Until the end of the first half, the players of CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife did not lift their foot from the accelerator, and went to the end of the first 30 minutes doubling the opponent on the scoreboard (18-9).

The local team started the second half too relaxed, a circumstance that was used by Handbol Sant Quirze to achieve a partial of 1 to 4 in the first five minutes. Although the difference was six goals, the coach of CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife was quick to request a timeout and get his players back into the game.

The players of the Lanzarote team put on their work clothes again, and with a good circulation of the ball in attack, they easily overcame the opponent's defense. After the halfway point of the period, Nabila de Ganzo from the left wing established the difference in ten goals (27-17).

The wide income allowed David Betancort to dose the effort of his players on the court, distributing the minutes and reserving the players with physical problems. The winger Esther de Miguel did not participate in the match, after suffering a slight ankle sprain in the training session last Thursday.

Triumph by 32 to 26 of CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife against Handbol Sant Quirze, a victory that allows the Lanzarote team to place as co-leader of the Women's Honor Gold Division and share the first place in the standings with Balonmano Morvedre. A day in which Lobas Global Atac Oviedo fell on the court of Soliss Balonmano Pozuelo de Calatrava, the Asturian team being the next rival of San José Obrero.
