CB Puerto del Carmen continues to embrace invincibility after six league games in group A of the Canarian Women's Territorial League. This Sunday they defeated Balonmano Morro jable V.C. (40-19) in the Municipal de Tías.
The players under the direction of Miguel Ángel Rodríguez Santana have accumulated five victories in five games, allowing them to continue leading their group alone.
The match, played in Corralejo, had the Tías team leading on the scoreboard from minute one. Although the distances have never been greater than six goals (min. 10, 3-9), the advantage has always fallen on the side of the "conejeras".
The "majoreras" players barely endured the proximity on the scoreboard of Tías in the first five minutes of the match (2-1). With Carlos Mora desperate due to his team's failures, Puerto del Carmen began to step on the accelerator and gradually increase the differences with the Fuerteventura team until the final result of 40-19.
The top scorer for Tías this Sunday was Ana Zaida Rodríguez. A stiletto on the left side of the local attack who scored ten goals. In the ranks of Morro Jable, Romina Mariano was the most successful offensively with seven goals scored.
Next week there will be a new match against a "majorero" team for the seventh league match, visiting the court of Club Deportivo Tinarajo. The match will be played in the Municipal de Pájara on Saturday, November 20, at 4:00 p.m. and will be refereed by José Pedro Rosales and Agustín García.
Tinarajo is second to last in the standings, with two points, accumulating one victory and four defeats so far. They arrive at the seventh matchday without having played this week due to rest.
