CB Puerto del Carmen achieved a bittersweet tie this Saturday at the Municipal Pavilion of Tías (32-32) against CD Tinarajo from Fuerteventura in a postponed match corresponding to the fifteenth day of the Canarian Women's Territorial League, the last Territorial match for the Tías team as locals.
María Bueno became the top scorer of the match and of the visitors with thirteen goals. In the Tías squad, Nayra Gil scored eleven goals for her team.
Both teams started somewhat drowsy. The Friday start time, 9:00 PM, almost pushed them to that. Equality was maintained during a large part of the first period. After ten minutes of the match, Juanmi Pérez changed to a very high pressing defense and the Fuerteventura team began to suffer. As the minutes passed, the tables turned.
Tinarajo settled on the Tías court and the locals weakened until the first local timeout (13-12, min. 21).

Despite the break, with one minute to go, Puerto del Carmen tied the match. They could even have won, but the Fuerteventura goalkeeper, Gueiga Aly, frustrated a Tías counterattack with an immeasurable save. In the end, a tie with a certainly bittersweet taste for both squads.
After this tie, the Territorial team of Puerto del Carmen officially closes the league season in Fuerteventura this Saturday, April 26, visiting Dany Sport Balonmano Caima. C.B. Puerto del Carmen remains fourth with twenty-one points, Tinarajo remains eighth with eleven points in their locker.
