The Puerto del Carmen Beach Handball Tournament is consolidated one more year with the participation, this weekend, of about 50 teams from different categories whose members demonstrated the quality of their game on the sand. The three courts set up on Playa Grande vibrated with turns and goals starring some 150 players from men's and women's teams in the children's, cadet, youth and senior categories.
The tournament, which took place over three days, ended this Sunday with the last semi-final and final matches, and the subsequent awards ceremony. The winners in different categories received the trophies from the mayor, José Juan Cruz, the first deputy mayor, Mame Fernández, and the councilor for Youth, Christopher Notario.
As for the winners, the best player of the tournament is Abián Rodríguez, from the Los Pericos team. The best player is Carla Rodríguez, from the Panchitas Team. The runner-up team in the women's children's category is Ensaladilla canaria. The champion team in the women's children's category is Panchitas Team. The runner-up team in the men's children's category is Chinijos 5. The champion in the men's children's category is Club Balonmano San José Obrero.
In the cadets category, the female cadet runners-up belong to the La Fusión team. The female cadet champions are the Las Submarinas team. The male cadet runners-up are ¿Quiénes somos perico? The male cadet champion team is Chamberga Tortoise.
In the youth category, the female youth runner-up team is Las Submarinas. The female youth champion team is Piñita San José. The male youth runner-up is Balonmano 1. The male youth champion is the Seditionis team.
In the senior category, the female senior runner-up team is Seguros Axa. The female senior champion is Mojitos Team. The male senior runner-up is Fuaa Axa Seguros. The male senior champion is Linda y comes bien.
The Puerto del Carmen 2019 Beach Handball tournament, organized by CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen, has the collaboration of the Tías City Council, the Insular Sports Service and Turismo Lanzarote.
