CD Santa Úrsula and UD Lanzarote did not go beyond a draw on Saturday afternoon, in an even match that was marked by the early expulsion suffered by the Rojillo team, after Keita saw the red card in the 25th minute of the first half. In the second half, UD Lanzarote was unable to take advantage of a penalty in their favor, with Ayoze Pérez missing the shot.
The first thirty minutes of the match had alternating dominance, with neither team being able to take control. CD Santa Úrsula had more of a sense of danger in this phase of the match, especially putting the Rojilla defense in trouble with set-piece actions.
One of the plays that could have tipped the match in favor of the locals occurred in the 25th minute. A foul by Keita on Stéfano was punished by the referee with a straight red card, leaving the visitors with ten players on the field. In the free kick, Semidán tested Alejandro's reflexes, with the goalkeeper deflecting it for a corner.
The first half concluded with two chances in favor of CD Santa Úrsula, both starring Zeben Buades. In the first, he took advantage of a through ball to stand in front of Alejandro, failing to beat the goalkeeper. And in the second, he turned in the area and his shot did not find the three posts. UD Lanzarote coach, Mateo García, moved the bench at the start of the second half by bringing on Aythami Yebri in place of Thioub, who had a yellow card. A second half that began with a shot from the local Tato that went close to the base of the post, after entering from the left.
In the 59th minute, Gonzalo Di Renzo controlled a ball inside the area with his back to the goal and was brought down by Azael, with the referee pointing to the penalty spot. Captain Ayoze Pérez was in charge of taking the penalty, but his shot went over the crossbar of the goal defended by Juanje.
The match concluded with an excellent opportunity for UD Lanzarote in the 92nd minute. Pacheco was in charge of taking a free kick, Gonzalo Di Renzo headed inside the area and the ball went to the left of the CD Santa Úrsula goal.
A goalless draw was recorded on Saturday afternoon at Argelio Tabares between CD Santa Úrsula and UD Lanzarote, a result that further compresses the Third Division RFEF standings in the upper and middle zone.
