In this LGTBIQ+ Pride month, we have seen the most absurd and homophobic things we could ever imagine, censoring an animated film like the newly released Lightyear for a lesbian kiss between two characters.
I really would like to know what goes through the minds of homophobic people….
What is their fear?
Do they believe that by watching an animated film their boys and girls will be homosexual in the future?
Because if they really think that when considering it "dangerous", then I would have been heterosexual, because in my childhood the LGTBIQ+ issue was totally invisible and the only series with that content that I could see was in my adolescence, on the Cuatro channel, in the early hours of the morning as if it were a porn film or something to be hidden, and it was an American series called the queer's folk.
By that rule of thinking that boys and girls will do the same as the films is absurd, so when they see Superman they better hide the sheets, and if they see the film Card's I hope the children don't think they are a Ford Fiesta.
Really, these mentalities only bring us backwardness and very dangerous behaviors.
And for these same reasons this month, together with all its demands, are more necessary than ever and I quote a phrase from the last film of Fantastic Animals and the secrets of Dumbledore "Dangerous times favor dangerous men" (And by the way J.K ROLLING, put Dumbledore as a gay character.
They should worry that their girls and boys do not see so much violence and more tolerance, equality and respect.
