They all killed her and she died alone

The healthiest thing for any democratic model is that, in addition to the one who governs, there is one or more political forces - the opposition - that oversee the work of the ruler. That and no other is the best way to exercise governance for governance.

Another very different issue is that this opposition is used to put stones under the wheels of the one who governs with the sole objective of slowing down and poisoning the daily work of any institution, with a vision as short-term as torpedoing the management so that the population, when it is time, does not vote for that party that is the one that in one way or another governs.

I believe that those of us who have a vocation for service, an indispensable ingredient for the good development of the tasks of any politician, -and so it should be-, we must all fight together for the good development of a municipality, which is also the capital of our island and of which we should feel proud.

Torpedoing the action of the government is clearly an irresponsible task on the part of whoever exercises it, because the main "victims" are those who in one way or another have placed you where you are, precisely so that you can once and for all fix the problems that as a society and collectively suffer.

It hurts me as a conejero to see Arrecife as the ugly duckling of Lanzarote, having a unique old town, still without value, at the same time as different urban elements, the castles and our Puente de Las Bolas, our Charco de San Ginés, in short, elements that confer the singularity that once was so valued and that now with cruise tourism could be put in value. The reality is that at present when the cruises arrive, those who prescribe the visit to Lanzarote, say that in Arrecife there is nothing to see and that it is best to go here or there, leaving to generate wealth in our capital.

Not to mention the historically forgotten neighborhoods, such as Valterra, Titerroy, and even our "Arganistan", with problems in the 21st century of asphalt and still with dirt roads, tremendously affected by the rains and the damage they produce when it does so with intensity. I am not able to enumerate each and every one of the problems of Arrecife, since my municipality is Teguise, of which I know its reality... what I expose here I do for what the media reproduce and the own neighbors of the capital. Sincerely, a shame for the entire political class, a true nonsense for the citizens.

The objective to share should be none other, as I say, than the vocation of service, the making of real commitments to solve things, the improvement of the quality of life of our neighbors... let us stop criticizing the activity for the activity and the inactivity for the same.

We must recognize that we acquired, together with the position, the responsibility with our voters and those who are not, to carry out a constructive opposition that abounds in the aforementioned objective and not with the absurd search for political benefit from the misfortunes of the neighbor in which in one way or another we have had a part, by omission or by obstruction, in the normal development of the solutions that are determined for each problem.

A real change of attitude and a clear will to exercise the planned improvements in which the beneficiary, as I say, has to be the neighbor, and not the absurd and antisocial account in which it is only interested in rising as the savior of a situation, which as soon as it gets complicated, it will be very difficult to mark a path of growth as a society and as a people.
