The saying that is pronounced when reality bites or when suffering, sorrow, loss or disappointment is maintained in a situation is very old: "When one door closes, another bigger one opens for us."
The already wide door of social exclusion will become even wider in the times to come, an environment in which the discouragement, frustration and depression of the individual mercilessly seizes the human soul, a situation of authentic tragedy for the one who suffers it. It is our duty and that of everyone to offer help to those who need it in any way possible, each from their own field, and to explain that their current situation is neither the result of bad decisions that were made in the past, nor is it the result of the bad luck that is said to be had, nor of the "the boss who hates me", nor of similar occurrences... Everything has happened because of a damn virus that has changed us all and we are all starting a new path. We have to be, on this occasion, we have and must be.
Our town hall, for a simple question of humanity and because it is our duty, as I say, demands it of us... we must be infallible and foresighted and take action now on new social policies aimed at these new times in which the sun is not expected to shine. The time, whether shorter or longer, will depend exclusively on the capacity and dedication of the actors involved in its management, on the making and implementation of decisions that have to do with the needs of the people, therefore, speed becomes a capital factor in the new stage that is coming upon us. A new system in which the bureaucratic part, far from interfering, does not endlessly question the procedures to be applied, ensuring that immediacy and efficiency is the great flag that guides us.
It is of capital importance and there must be exceptionally greater budgetary flexibility that contemplates the expenses derived from the social care of our municipalities. I say this, because I believe we must respond solicitously to any demand based on social material and that should be the way to proceed. In general, we are constrained by countless bureaucratic regulations of one kind or another, the current one not being the most suitable model to manage a complete and truly different reality.
That is why together we must agree on the tools for a new administrative model effectively implemented for this situation, in which speed prevails in relation to these expenses and allows us to react quickly, I never tire of repeating it to the needs of the people, since almost all of them will be issues of subsistence of the people, in which a "come back tomorrow" is not possible.
It is now and not later when we must show off a close administration, because thanks to that: the closeness, we can establish ourselves as a bridgehead for any initiative redoubling on our part the resources we already have. I am of the opinion of mixing resources with experience and logistics, these three ingredients applied with humanity, become the best tool for what is coming upon us.
