This thing about working in politics never ceases to amaze me; it was last Thursday the 9th when a good friend told me that in the municipality of Arrecife they were announcing a campaign for Valentine's Day with the same slogan as the action we presented to the media on February 1st for the same reason.
"Teguise falls in love with you" was presented with the aim that the residents of the municipality would make their purchases in local establishments and thus help with our grain of sand to the commerce of Teguise, for this, in addition to the slogan, it is accompanied by a promotion in media and social networks with images of the participating businesses. I think and defend that some additional advertising is not bad for them. Honestly, that was the principle from which the idea started.
Obviously, I do not defend that other municipalities cannot do it because we are the first, just the opposite, because as I say, no business is harmed by some additional advertising. I take this opportunity to invite you to buy in our shops and preferably from our artisans, true custodians of our culture.
The tenacity, the perseverance, the word, the commitment, the sacrifice of the family, the initiative, the proposal to the neighbor..., all that and some other things is what really should be copied to ultimately obtain a real improvement in the quality of life of our neighbors, I assure you that this is the only reason why they have chosen us to occupy the place where we are, and I reiterate, they have not voted for us to become spectators of a cheap and absurd play in which everyone repeats their role in a loop.
Believe me, I don't feel any pain but I do feel sorry when I'm asked about Arrecife, because I consider that as the island's capital as well as the main gateway to the rest of the island, it deserves special attention and care and for this, countless resources are allocated that I would like for Teguise.
They have the means to put them in value, generate movement and abandon once and for all sterile discussions that only manage to waste time in the search for solutions to the problems that day after day with unwavering constancy, the neighbors request to be resolved.
Let it be noted that I do not stand from any pulpit to make these statements, I do so as one more citizen who loves his land, and must feel proud of it, from that.
