That problem is exclusive to the Canarians. We Canarians have the problem that by "legal imperative", as they usually say, "we are Spanish". That's the bad thing. That "imperative" is the result of a violent occupation of a territory, of the political and religious subjugation of its people and of the flexibility of a colonialist system that has been able to adapt to the times and to the prostituted political discourse of that Europe, whose financial powers today manage the states like puppets.
My problem is a serious problem: A matter of State. Far from that are the details of the time difference, of my native Africanity, of the fact that they speak differently than us and we differently than them, of whether or not we may have very different cultural evidences, as well as many other details that form idiosyncrasy and, of course, our own identity.
But, as I was saying, those are secondary things, because I have a problem: I am Spanish by obligation and without deserving it and I want with all my heart to stop being so, that's why and not for any other reason, they call me "independentist" because also, I accept that it is the logical commitment of every Canarian today and I make it, with pleasure, my own.
And if I ever say that I am not Spanish, I meant that I don't feel it, because it is the contained rage of this perpetual indignant, that the only impotence he feels is not having more than 24 hours a day of struggle, it is to contradict the ignorance of who comes to insist on the condition of Spanish; the same one who calls you "independentist". Well, of course "bullfighter", of course I am an INDEPENDENTIST in capital letters, because your kingdom subjugates my country when it shouldn't, because I decided to fight with all my strength and coherence until the Canary Islands are free from Spain, and I with it, and continue working so that this archipelago is a truly free State and does not submit to Spanish colonialism or the neocolonialism of Capital, as happens to yours.
To achieve a society where "Social justice" is called Social Equality and, finally, the same thing happens to me as to you, that just as you are Spanish with the good and bad that this means, I am only Canarian, with what that may mean then and you stop being a problem for me.
