How is there parity with open primaries?

March 19 2015 (09:46 WET)

These open lists where so much "elite" sneaks in and people vote online, without face-to-face assemblies, leave a strong doubt. Anyway, if in the face-to-face assembly an enlightened person appears with 87% of the votes, through the vote delegation system - multinational type - as Iglesias did in Madrid, "save me a puppy".

On the other hand, there is the issue of taking people who comply with the regulations, but are not to the liking of some, to the guarantee commission (which is who works the most in Podemos: more than its MEPs, it seems) with the clear intention of not letting them participate even according to the internal rules that Podemos has set. If we start like this, when they are in the institutions, will they also break the rules to their liking? Be careful, there it is legislation, non-compliance is penalized, and after midnight they can become "elite" and the official car into a pumpkin.

On the other hand, there is the electoral legislation. The one that requires parity in the lists. That is, those so-called zipper lists where men and women must alternate. How is this achieved by holding open primaries? Will the Electoral Law force "sneaking" men or women ignoring how many votes one or the other has?

I have a feeling that this will be another of Podemos' inexplicable things. Another one would be the fact of having Tomás Capote heading the best-placed group in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with a great political record, to mention at least.

He was co-founder in Madrid of Reforma Democrática (RD), an ephemeral political association (proto-party) of Spanish conservative ideology. Founded in 1976 by various personalities who came from the moderate and technocratic wing of Francoism. In addition, it is public that he participated in the process of constitution of Alianza Popular, dissolving the following year (1977).

1978 Fraga presented him among the deputy secretaries, appearing in the press as "Tomás Francisco Capote Santiago (national political relations with the AP parliamentary group)"

He reappears in May 1987 on the ATI lists with number 14, "Tomás Francisco Capote Santiago ATI for the island electoral district of Tenerife, by the Coalition Agrupaciones Independientes de Canarias (AIC-ATI)". And, the last known is in 1991, when he appears in number 3 of the P.N.C. lists.

But nothing, surely there is a woman with such characteristics in Podemos Santa Cruz, to achieve parity in the electoral list. I don't doubt it. Podemos works like this: they call the others "elite".
