I am a nature lover and activist in its preservation, but not of the ugly activists who look like slobs, how I miss you Arturo Fernández!, but of those who, for example, have among their professional projects one with global potential to collapse carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere or, more in the daily field, of those who vehemently rebuke the riffraff who throw what they have left over where they please or confront those who bury the damn cigarette butts in the sand of the beaches. Therefore, I followed with great interest the environmental student protests in front of the Swedish Parliament in August of last year, with that admirable 15-year-old girl, Greta Thunberg, who captivated and moved us all. Such was the impact caused by the teenager, and not only on me but internationally, that in November she definitively launched her image through TEDx, in December she appeared at the COP24 of the UN and in March even some Norwegian politicians proposed her for the Nobel Peace Prize. All very well, but what is the truth in all this story?
It turns out that Miss Thunberg suffers from Asperger's Syndrome, being common in these people high IQs, above average, as well as the stereotyped use of language and sophisticated vocabularies. Moreover, there are registered cases of Asperger's people who became brilliant speakers with the high memory capacity required for it. Another characteristic they present is the high motivation towards what arouses their interest and the extraordinary concentration of which they are capable. Therefore, the profile was perfect because a teenager without those peculiarities would hardly have been able to face all those imposing scenarios.
Specifically to me, although I recognize the intrinsic value of the girl and the apparently laudable of her objectives, I soon had my hopes dashed. With sadness I realized that Greta was being devoured by the hidden system that sells itself as an anti-system. They turned her into an iconic activist of international progressivism, a reference for the rebellious youth hungry for collective causes and a mirror in which the anti-capitalists of capitalist countries look at themselves. The 15-year-old Swedish teenager had no idea what she was going to stir up, what she was going to become and how they were going to use her.
We are already at the equator of the article and surely the reader has already unleashed the eternal rejection of everything I write, so from now on I have to give content and justification to the detriment I make of Greta's figure. What I despise is the construct that world progressivism has made of the girl's figure, an artifice that gives meaning to a gigantic business of NGOs, subsidies, congresses, positions, speculations, capital gains and very varied perks. That is, the same old thing with the same old people. They put an anti-fascist shirt on her, thus demonstrating that the climate thing had not been bad but that where there is real meat is in politics. Although those who pull the strings of this poor puppet did not realize that the fascists were socialists and that denying oneself is, to say the least, a clumsy paradox. But let's continue. Thunberg is going to attend the UN Climate Action Summit in September in New York and, attention, she is going in one of the largest and most luxurious yachts that exist, captained by a member of the royal family of Monaco and sponsored by a multinational automotive company that has sold millions of internal combustion vehicles in the world and by a Swiss bank linked to tax havens. The puppet's strings continue to move and those of us who read between the lines and write articles continue to expose the interested cover-up, but detached from the general interest, that the globalist left weaves from time to time. What a ridiculous and incoherent role Greta is being forced to play by that left that desperately needs to have myths and therefore creates them, as it created the myth of Che Guevara who is even adored by the LGTB sphere, although the damn macho serial killer mercilessly killed any gay who got in his way.
To finish this article I am going to suggest to the disoriented progressivism, as far as climate change is concerned, that less prefabricated icons and more think globally and act locally. Humanity will be better off
