The Cabildo of Lanzarote ended this Thursday the first part of the 1st Conference on Dependency in the Canary Islands 'Transformation of Dependency in the Canary Islands', highlighting the "great reception" of this event, with "prominent speakers and good participation". The first day of the two-day event ended with the round table “The necessary work of Social Work in Dependency”.
The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, thanked the experts who starred in the first day and invited the population “to follow the second and last day of this project that is being a success and that is a revelation in the matter”.
This Friday, October 14, the Conference will end with a presentation and two round tables, before the closing ceremony starring the President of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, María Dolores Corujo and the Regional Minister of Social Rights, Noemí Santana.
This Friday started with the presentation “State Financing in the Dependency System”, by the Deputy Minister of Social Rights of the Government of the Canary Islands, Gemma Martínez, and the General Director of Imserso, Luis Alberto Barriga Martín.
The first round table is “The important coordination between Public Administrations”, moderated by the deputy in the Parliament of the Canary Islands Nira Fierro, with the participation of Jerónimo Saavedra Acevedo, Noemí Santana, María Dolores Corujo and María Brito Nuñez.
The last round table of the event will be “The advance of Dependency in the Canary Islands: SAIDIL” and will be moderated by Isabel Martín, with the participation of Juana Bello, Javier Hernández Santana and Ruyman Torres Pérez.
