At 00:41 hours on Friday morning, the Security and Emergency Consortium of Lanzarote was activated after being alerted by the CECOES of a vehicle fire on Jacinto Borges Street, in Arrecife, near the Central Park.
Upon arrival, the firefighters found the fire fully developed and affecting two motorcycles and a car, all of them engulfed in flames. In addition, the heat caused by the fire caused damage to the facade of a nearby house.
National Police and Local Police officers were already at the scene, who collaborated in securing the area. The intervention team proceeded to extinguish the fire using water and foam, and then cooled the affected facade to prevent possible outbreaks.
