The Yaiza City Council has reported on the payment made this week of 31,000 euros destined to sports entities and clubs as cash subsidies for the third and last period of the 2021 - 2022 season.
In this way, the City Council fulfills the commitment acquired with the grassroots sport, entering a total of 117,000 euros from last year, in addition to the delivery of four new vehicles, of nine seats each, to the clubs that attended and met the requirements of the municipal call aimed at facilitating the transport of players and monitors.
The mayor has guaranteed "the municipal commitment of present and future with the sports schools and our quarry", in addition to pointing out that they will try to launch a new call in order to deliver more vehicles for the transport of children and young people of the municipality.
For his part, the Councilor for Sports of Yaiza, Ángel Lago, has drawn a positive balance regarding sports activity in the south of Lanzarote, showing himself "satisfied with the reception and performance of sports schools in our municipality and also with the island, regional, national and international response to sports events, which are events that promote healthy activities and move the local economy, as we have demonstrated," said the councilor.
