The Yaiza City Council closed the month of November paying 1.9 million euros to suppliers for works of general interest, services and supplies. In this way, the Council affirms that it maintains the dynamics of invoice payments in short processing periods.

Óscar Noda, mayor of Yaiza and councilor responsible for Economy and Finance, maintains that “the Administration maintains rigor in the management of municipal accounts and continues to comply with suppliers to help improve the economy despite the decrease in collection and other conditions imposed by the pandemic. "Yaiza came with its accounts healthy, acting responsibly, without debt, and that has allowed us to continue with the pace of investments, which are few municipalities in Spain that can do it today,” he adds.

In the list of payments, works in progress such as the Playa Blanca Sports Pavilion and the Playa Blanca Atlantic Park stand out, whose payments total 494,000 euros in November, although there are also investments in paving in different towns and construction of new roads in Playa Blanca for an amount of 542,000 euros.

Subsidies to social, cultural and sports entities

Yaiza also paid in November subsidies to entities involved in social care, cultural groups and athletes and made effective aid to families in vulnerable situations. The administration received a total of 64,000 euros for these concepts.

The mayor also reports on “the purchase of a new fleet of six vans with nine seats each that the City Council will give to sports clubs for the transportation of children and young people who participate in the municipal sports schools program". "Apart from the subsidies in money, we make available to the clubs the material means investing 127,000 euros so that each one manages them according to their needs,” he points out.

Yaiza also acquired material in November to renew deteriorated street furniture and paid invoices for different municipal responsibility services.
