The joint police operation between the National Police and the USCI of Arrecife carried out on May 23 has resulted in the arrest of two men, 23 and 40 years old respectively, of Dominican and Colombian nationality, one of them with a police record, as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health. They were selling marijuana and hashish from a premises.
The operation began after the National Police recently received a call with anonymous information about the possible sale and consumption of narcotic substances in a premises in the capital.
Police efforts made it possible to verify that numerous individuals were going to the aforementioned building to buy and consume narcotic substances.
With the mandatory judicial order, police officers carried out a search of the aforementioned premises in which 235 grams of hashish and 328 grams of marijuana, a precision scale, three knives, cash and documentation were seized. The person in charge, who was inside, was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health. The other arrested person was intercepted and arrested by police officers when he was leaving the premises with 13 grams of hashish, separated into 10 transparent bags.
After drawing up the corresponding police report, the detainees were placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
The police intervention was carried out by agents from the Arrecife Police Station and members of the USCI group of the Arrecife Local Police.
