The Tías City Council informs of the opening of the voluntary period for payment of the main municipal taxes and fees, which will last until October 20th. During this period, taxpayers may pay their receipts without surcharges, both in person and through the Electronic Headquarters available on the municipal website.

The Councilor for Finance, Tomás Silvera, explains that "the voluntary period is the time established by the regulations for the payment of taxes and fees that are collected." Once this period has ended, surcharges and other expenses are applied. The consistory maintains an email to answer questions and assist taxpayers: [email protected]

Regarding the payment procedure, he points out that "those people who have a digital certificate can download the corresponding receipt through the Electronic Headquarters, also available on our website, without having to go to the City Council."

The voluntary payment period for receipts affects the Tax on Mechanically Propelled Vehicles (IVTM), Real Estate Tax (IBI), Tax on Economic Activities (IAE), fee for the collection of household and industrial solid urban waste, fee for fords, accesses or permanent parking reservations, fee for the installation of ATMs and fee for the occupation of land for public use with tables and chairs.

The 2025 tax calendar can be consulted on the home page of the municipal website. Likewise, the Tías City Council will collect the receipts for all previously domiciled taxes on September 5th, except for the previously domiciled receipts for IBI and IAE, which will be charged by the banking entities on October 3rd.

Tomás Silvera recalls that since 2021, personalized and interest-free payment plans have been implemented, in addition to bonuses of 5% for prior direct debit of all municipal taxes.

December 31st is the deadline for submitting applications for bonuses with effects for the following year, as well as applications for personalized payment plans.
