Thirteen candidates present themselves for the second test to obtain a taxi driving license in Arrecife

The Arrecife City Council is working to incorporate new professionals as taxi drivers, given the labor demand expressed by the sector.

The Department of Transportation and Mobility of the Arrecife City Council has published on the website of the Electronic Headquarters of the Arrecife City Council the candidates who can opt for the second exam to obtain the municipal taxi license in the capital of Lanzarote.

The website includes a detailed list of the people who presented and passed the first theoretical exam. Now, for this Wednesday the 20th, the second and last test is scheduled.

The list, which mentions the people who did not pass and those who did not appear for the first exam, specifies that a total of thirteen people are qualified for this new final exam.

The resolution indicates that it is agreed to "set the call for the approved candidates for the next test to be held on March 20, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. in the Assembly Hall of the Municipal Archive of Arrecife".

The mayor of the city, Yonathan de León, and the councilor of Mobility and Transportation, Mario González Altube, have held different meetings with taxi professionals, in assembly, and with the board of directors of the Taxi Cooperative to adopt measures that "substantially improve the taxi service in the municipality of Arrecife".
